I took this shot because i liked the surroundings behind her. i felt that it was a good type of background, since it wasnt too busy. i tried to not make the background the focal point. i placed my model to the right because i was at a different angle than straight on, so the model had to slightly turn towards me. the light was coming from the side i made her face, as you can somewhat tell, the right side gets to be darker, because of where the light is shining from. all i used was outdoor lighting, and then just edited it a little bit on photoshot. i decided to make the picture black & white, because the original photo had too many colors in the background which kind of made it a little distracting. so i came to this final piece of a black & white photo.

aids awareness

This project had a range of different kinds of pictures i could take, but the first thing that came to my mind for me to shoot was the stereotype or first impression of which people think might have aids. i feel that when many people see or think of same sex relationships, they would assume that they had aids just by their sexuality. even though i took this picture, i still don't just see them as having aids, but i just wanted to make it more clear for the people that think of that stereotype, it may not be just a stereotype, they may have the highest chance, so this picture will somewhat display this. this picture was not planned out, i just happened to see, this couple walked and had a good angle on them, so i decided to take a shot. i like how it turned out and i decided to use it. as you can see, outdoor lighting was used. i photoshopped the picture to add different effects to enhance the picture just a little more.
